The 2026-27 Budget: Estimated State Savings From Proposition 47

Proposition  47 requires the Director of the Department of Finance (DOF) to annually estimate these savings and the State Controller to transfer that amount from the General Fund into a state fund created by the measure —the Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Fund (SNSF).
