Labor Agreements to Achieve Budgetary Savings

Jul 11, 2025 - Control Section 3.90 of the 2025-26 budget (as added by Chapter 5 of 2025 [AB 102, Gabriel]) established an expectation of the Legislature that all 21 of the state’s bargaining units would meet and confer in good faith with the administration before July 1, 2025 to achieve savings assumed in the budget.

Jun 25, 2021 - …And Did Not Conduct a 2019, 2020, or 2021 Compensation Study Before Submitting Agreements to Legislature. At the end of the language quoted above, the 2018 MOU added a sentence: “This section will be inoperable during the term of this MOU.”

Jun 27, 2025 - Since October 2021, Unit 9 members have been eligible to receive a monthly telework stipend. Employees who are identified as being “remote centered ” are eligible to receive $50 per month. Employees who are identified as “office centered ” are eligible to receive $25 per month.

Sep 7, 2021 - The proposed agreement specifies that it extends the term of the expired MOU through June 30, 2022. Increases Pay for All Members by 2.5 Percent. Effective July 1, 2021, the proposed agreement would provide all Unit 8 members a general salary increase of 2.5 percent.

COVID-19: Unemployment Insurance for Workers Impacted by COVID-19

Mar 23, 2020 - In December, 2020, H.R. 133 re-instituted the weekly $300 added benefit for January 1, 2021 to March  14, 2021. On March  11, 2021, H.R. 1319 extended the weekly $300 added benefit through September 6, 2021.
