The 2018-19 Budget: Meeting Workforce Demand for Certified Nursing Assistants in Skilled Nursing Facilities

Apr 27, 2018 - Prior to 2017 ‑18, the state required SNFs to provide each patient with a minimum of 3.2 nursing hours per day. The 2017 ‑18 budget package raised this requirement to 3.5 nursing hours per day, and added a new requirement that CNAs provide at least 2.4 of the minimum 3.5 nursing hours per day.
