To investigate this issue, CDPH examined an alternative version of their Dashboard summary using a definition of buprenorphine much closer to the one provided by Wang et al. (2024).

While the state did appeal these injunctions, a legal settlement was reached in 2013 r esulting in a reduction to IHSS service hours (less than what the state initially proposed).
