Road Charge Pilot Program Update

Sep 15, 2016 - In July 2016, Caltrans began a road charge pilot program based on the TAC ’s recommendations. By August 2016, Caltrans enrolled 5,000 vehicles from individuals who volunteered to participate in the pilot program.

Dec 5, 2017 - In 2016, Caltrans employees drove department ‑owned vehicles nearly 93  m illion miles. This means that on average each vehicle was driven about 8, 300 m iles.
