The 2025-26 Budget: Concession Bargaining

May 19, 2025 - In 2010-11, the state made changes to pension formulas for future hires and increased contribution rates for existing employees. For example, see the 2010 agreement with Service Employees International Union, Local 1000 (Local 10000), which increased employee contributions from 5 percent of pay to 8 percent of pay and reduced pension benefits for future hires.

Jun 24, 2022 - The administration reports tha t, since 2010, there have been a total of 19 apprentice appointments with the last apprenticeship being completed in August 2021. The departments that employed apprentices during this time included the State Compensation Insurance Fund and the Departments of General Services, State Hospitals, Developmental Services, and Public Health.
