Feb 7, 2023 - For planning purposes, each  0.5  percentage point reduction in the COLA rate would reduce costs for K ‑12 programs by approximately $400  million. If the Legislature were to eliminate the $1.4  billion deficit entirely through funding a lower COLA, the associated reduction in the rate would be about 1.7  percentage points (for a COLA rate of about 6.4  percent).

The 2022-23 Budget: Overview of the Governor's Budget

Jan 13, 2022 - For community colleges, the budget funds enrollment growth of 0.5  percent and proposes a new minimum funding level beginning in 2025 ‑26. This proposal would provide all colleges with at least as much funding as they received under certain calculations in 2024 ‑ 25 —regardless of the number of students they serve in the future.
