Jun 16, 2025 - In contrast, Asian/Pacific Islander individuals made up only about 3  percent of CalWORKs heads of household, but about 10  percent of heads of household in poverty were Asian/Pacific Islander. Key Participant Race/Ethnicity Findings Overrepresentation of Certain Race/Ethnicity Groups in CalWORKs Compared to General Population Largely Reflects Disproportionate Rates of Poverty.
