Oct 5, 2016 - In 2016 –17 , an estimated $12  million is available from the child poverty subaccount to fund the repeal of the MFG policy, leaving $97  million to be borne by the General Fund. The General Fund contribution to the cost of repealing the MFG policy is expected to increase in 2017 –18 as the repeal will be in effect for a full year.
