The 2025-26 Budget: Transportation Proposals

Feb 12, 2025 - The 2022 ‑23 budget agreement committed an additional $100  million from the General Fund that was provided in 2023 ‑24 to augment funding for the Clean California Local Grant Program. The statewide program was administered by Caltrans and the combined $1.2  billion was used for the following activities: State Litter Abatement ($418   Million).

Jan 18, 2017 - The budget proposes $2.5  billion for CHP in 2017 ‑18, which is about $100  million, or 4  percent, higher than estimated current-year expenditures. Over 90  percent of all CHP expenditures are supported from the Motor Vehicle Account (MVA), which generates its revenues primarily from vehicle registration and driver license fees.
