Unit 2 (Attorneys) MOU Analysis

Aug 25, 2022 - Since 2019, CalHR released a new Unit 2 compensation study in 2022 that relies on data from 2020. In that study, CalHR found that the state’s compensation package for attorneys continues to lag local governments by 9 percent and the private sector by 25 percent.

Aug 25, 2022 - While the compensation study found that state electrical engineers (accounting for 6 percent of the bargaining unit) are compensated more than similar employees in the private sector or federal government, the study found that state electrical engineers are compensated 10 percent less than their local government counterparts.

A recent scientific  study  by United States Geological Survey researchers predicted that under scenarios of three feet to six feet of sea‑level rise, up to two‑thirds of Southern California beaches may become completely eroded by 2100.
