Control Section 3.90 specifies that “the Legislature finds that the savings will likely be needed to maintain the sound fiscal condition of the state.”

When an unemployed worker submits a claim for UI payments, EDD confirms the worker ’s identifying information with the federal Social Security Administration and the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
