Aug 19, 2025 - As we discuss in greater detail below and in our August 2024 analysis , the Legislature approved a reduction of the duty week from 72 hours to 66 hours as part of the 2024-25 budget. Implementation of the 66-hour duty week began in 2024-25 and will continue until at least 2028-29.
