Refocusing the Workers’ Compensation Subsequent Injury Program

Jul 10, 2025 - Restoring the original eligibility threshold would limit SIBTF claims to workers who have experienced a relatively serious workplace  injury. Require Prior Documentation of Pre ‑Existing Conditions. The Legislature could consider limiting SIBTF cases to pre ‑existing conditions that were documented with the employer or a medical practitioner prior to the subsequent injury.
