In recent years, the Governor has had various budget proposals relating to education pension funding. These proposals have included making supplemental payments toward pension systems ’ unfunded liabilities as well as giving community college districts immediate pension relief by subsidizing their rates in 2019 ‑20, 2020 ‑21, and 2021 ‑22.
