Next Steps for Improving State Accountability for Alternative Schools

Second, the state currently is in the process of refining the API calculation for high schools. Statute requires that in time for the 2016 API calculation, the State Board of Education (SBE) must have revised the API to incorporate other measures of school performance, such as graduation rates and indicators of college and career readiness, in addition to standardized test scores.
