The 2020-21 Spending Plan: Transportation

Oct 5, 2020 - The budget includes $16  million on an ongoing basis from Proposition  1A (2008) to support 85 new state staff positions in areas such as information technology (IT), project delivery, and finance. The new state staff positions are expected to replace 103 consultant positions that cost HSRA roughly $34  million annually, thus resulting in nearly $18  million in annual savings.

In 2014, this fee was increased by $1 (from $23 to $24) and was indexed to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), allowing the fee to automatically increase with inflation.
