Recent Trends in Young Adult Mortality

Dec 10, 2024 - From follow ‑up discussions with both sets of researchers, we understand that the Wang et al. (2024) analysis includes a broader set of buprenorphine products than the CDPH dashboard. To investigate this issue, CDPH examined an alternative version of their Dashboard summary using a definition of buprenorphine much closer to the one provided by Wang et al. (2024).

Additionally, the Governor ’s budget assumes continued year-to-year growth in two of the three primary IHSS cost drivers —caseload (4.3  percent) and cost per hour (2.7  percent) —while holding hours per case flat between 2022-23 and 2023-24.

Rethinking the 1991 Realignment

Oct 15, 2018 - Lightbourne, et al. I and II and Dominguez v. Brown, et al .). Ultimately, the federal district courts issued temporary injunctions preventing the state from making these changes. While the state did appeal these injunctions, a legal settlement was reached in 2013 r esulting in a reduction to IHSS service hours (less than what the state initially proposed).
