The 2024-25 Budget: California State University

Feb 15, 2024 - Health care premiums in 2024 are increasing 11   percent —more than double the average annual rate of increase over the past five years. CSU estimates its associated costs for active employees in 2024 ‑25 will increase $78  million.

Third Round of Federal Higher Education Relief Funding

May 3, 2021 - The department announced the new allocations on May 11. As Figure  4 shows, higher education institutions in California are to receive $5  billion in base funds —slightly more than the total amount of HEERF funds provided across the first two rounds ($4.9  billion).

Dec 5, 2019 - The CCC  Chancellor ’s Office deemed 64 o f the 85  applications as meeting minimum requirements. Grant funding was distributed to these colleges in July 2016, with the expectation that colleges would begin implementation during the 2016 ‑17 academic year.

Mar 10, 2025 - Figure  1 shows CLSF enrollment over the past 25 years. Since 2000, CLSF enrollment peaked in 2009 at 1,336 full ‑time equivalent (FTE) students, then fell notably from 2011 ‑12 to 2015 ‑16, before leveling off for a few years.
