Oct 22, 2021 - The spending plan provides $8  million General Fund ($17  million total funds) to instead extend accelerated enrollment to such adults ages 19 through 64. Under this change —which is intended to aid in a settlement to a lawsuit against DHCS alleging that application processing is too slow —applicants would immediately qualify for Medi-Cal benefits while their income verifications are pending.
