As shown in Figure  5, we estimate the wage gap between California ’s white and Latino low-wage workers to be around 20  percent. In other words, we estimate the 10 th percentile hourly wage for white workers to be roughly 20  percent higher than the 10 th percentile hourly wage for Latino workers.
