Jun 16, 2025 - This policy was repealed in the 2016 ‑17 Budget Act. Increased Adult Recipient Time Limits. The  adult lifetime aid limit changed twice between 2010 and 2024. In 2011, it was reduced from 60 months to 48 months (in an effort to reduce costs).

Nov 21, 2025 - The 2023-24 Budget Act authorized the CalFresh Minimum Nutrition Benefit Pilot and included about $1  million General Fund (one time) for automation costs. The 2024-25 Budget Act included $15  million General Fund on a one-time basis for the implementation of the pilot program, which was originally expected to begin in 2024-25.
