The 2018-19 Budget: Transportation Proposals

Feb 8, 2018 - Caltrans recently was awarded a $1. 8  m illion federal grant that would pay for most of the one ‑time expenses. The remainder of the funding would come from the SHA. Additionally, the proposed budget contains the same reporting language as the 2017 ‑ 18 b udget —specifically , a requirement for Caltrans to report on its progress by July 1, 2018.

SB 1 Has Doubled Major Source of State Funding for Local Streets and Roads

Jan 24, 2020 - Of this amount, $75 million is distributed annually to cities and counties for local streets and roads purposes from 2017‑18 to 2019‑20. Shared Revenues Have Doubled Under SB 1 As shown in Figure  2, increases in shared revenues associated with SB  1 have significantly improved funding for local streets and roads.

The 2018-19 Budget: Governor’s May Revision Proposal for Caltrans’ Capital Outlay Support Program

May 13, 2018 - The Governor proposes $3.3  million annually for Caltrans to pay for additional permits as part of its SB  1 workload. According to Caltrans, the proposed increase to obtain permits is proportional to the proposed increase in funding for state highway rehabilitation projects due to SB  1 —a 58  percent increase.

Overview of the 2017 Transportation Funding Package
