Feb 20, 2024 - The 2022 CHIPS Act provides financial incentives for semiconductor companies to expand their operations in the U.S. $50  Million to Supplement ISRF Loans. The Governor ’s budget also proposes a one-time General Fund allocation of $50  million to supplement ISRF ’s existing resources to provide loans to public agencies.

Fixing Unemployment Insurance

Dec 2, 2024 - Unemployed workers can receive 50  percent of their regular wages, up to a maximum of $450 per week, for up to 26 weeks. (Due to the $450 weekly benefit maximum, about half of workers receive less than 50  percent of their regular wages.)

Feb 27, 2023 - The budget increased the required payment amount for April and June from a total of 50  percent to 60  percent (and reduced the required amount for the rest of the year). This change had the effect of accelerating tax collections from 2009 ‑10 into 2008 ‑09, thereby improving the 2008 ‑09 budget condition.

Oct 5, 2020 - A business is eligible for the credit if it (1)  has fewer than 100 employees and (2)  experienced a 50  percent or greater decline in gross income during the second quarter of 2020. The credit can reduce a business ’ personal income tax, corporation tax, or sales tax bill.
