This is a net increase of $341 million (2 percent) over the revised 2019‑20 level of spending. General Fund spending is proposed to be $16.2 billion in 2020‑21, which represents an increase of $213 million (1 percent) above the revised 2019‑20 level.

Oct 6, 2021 - Bureau of Gambling Control (BGC). The budget includes $3.4  million annually in 2021 ‑22 and 2022 ‑23 from the Gambling Control Fund for cardroom-related licensing workload. The budget package also prohibits BGC from collecting certain cardroom-related fees on a one-time basis between January 2020 and August 2022 (the exact period differs by fee) and generally requires the refund of payments that were made during the covered period.
