The 2026-27 Budget: California Education Learning Lab

Mar 5, 2024 - As of  2021 ‑22, CLSF had built up its reserve to 5.5 months of operating expenditures. This  level  has  since declined to 4.2 months of operating expenditures as a result of CLSF using some reserves to offset increased ongoing operating costs in 2023 ‑24.

The 2025-26 Budget: Overview of the Governor's Budget

Jan 13, 2025 - The  June 2024 budget package committed to a total of $28  billion in budget solutions for 2025 ‑26, which included, $12  billion in spending ‑related solutions and nearly $16  billion in all other solutions, including $5.5  billion in temporary revenue increases and a $7  billion withdrawal from the state ’s rainy day fund, the Budget Stabilization Account (BSA).

California Community Colleges—Managing Cash in a Time of State Payment Deferrals

Dec 18, 2020 - The state began using payment deferrals during the dot ‑com bust but relied much more heavily on them during the Great Recession. The practice of deferring college payments peaked in 2011 ‑12, when the state deferred a total of $ 961  m illion in CCC payments —accounting for nearly 30  p ercent of CCC Proposition  98 General Fund support.

Within UC, nonresident students are more common in graduate programs. Whereas approximately one‑third of UC graduate students are classified as nonresidents, approximately 15 percent of UC undergraduates are nonresidents.

The 2020-21 Budget: Hastings College of the Law

Mar 13, 2020 - In 2019 ‑20, the UC Board of Regents elected to raise total tuition systemwide charges for its law schools, with increases ranging from 3.7  percent (Davis) to 5.5  percent (Berkeley). A couple of months ago, the Board of Regents adopted a multiyear plan to continue increasing law school tuition through 2023 ‑24.
