Dec 2, 2024 - Despite many employers paying the maximum UI tax rate, the state ’s UI tax burden is below average compared to the rest of the United States. Even at the state ’s maximum tax rate of 5.4  percent, when offset by the state ’s low taxable wage base, employers ’ tax payments are comparable to the national average.
