Fiscal Outlook: Medi-Cal

Nov 14, 2018 - Pursuant to Chapter  4  of  2016 (SB  3, Leno), the state ’s minimum wage is scheduled to gradually increase on an annual basis to $15 per hour in 2023. We estimate that the higher minimum wage will result in net savings in Medi-Cal of around $300  million by 2022-23.
