A Long-Term Outlook: Disability Among California’s Seniors

Nov 28, 2016 - A recent analysis by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine found roughly one –third of family members who provided care to seniors were aged 65 or older in 2011. We project that the ratio of seniors without disabilities to seniors with disabilities in California will decrease only 13  percent from 4:1 in 2015 to 3.5:1 in 2060.
